The 2005-2006 annual report created for Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies has been awarded a bronze Magnum Opus award.

The international graphic design award, bestowed by Publications Management, in cooperation with the University of Missouri School of Journalism and McMurry marketing communications, is the leading awards program dedicated exclusively to custom publishing. The college’s 2005-2006 commencement program was awarded an honorable mention in the same competition.

The college’s 2005-2006 annual report, viewed at www.caus.vt.edu, was created by Heather Riley Chadwick, communications manager for the college. Chadwick, of Blacksburg, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, a certificate from the University of Denver Publishing Institute, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in communication at Virginia Tech.
